About the Role
eHealth4everyone is a leading digital health social enterprise dedicated to making the world healthier through technology-enabled optimizations. We are seeking a motivated Junior Backend Engineer with foundational knowledge of PHP, Drupal, and Symfony to join our growing technical team in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Support the maintenance and development of backend features on a Drupal-based health information platform.
- Develop and modify Drupal modules and backend functionality under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Work with Symfony components and PHP to implement and maintain application functionality.
- Support API development and seamless integration with various external systems.
- Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving critical application issues.
- Work effectively with relational databases and backend data structures.
- Participate actively in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Document technical changes and contribute to continuous knowledge transfer within the team.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of PHP and backend development principles.
- Practical knowledge or academic/personal exposure to Drupal, preferably Drupal 9 or 10.
- Basic understanding of Symfony and modern framework-based application development.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, relational databases, SQL, and Git version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience through professional work, internships, or open-source projects.
