About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and analytical IT Audit Specialist to join our corporate headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure the implementation of effective controls across all IT business processes, operations, and systems to promote transparency and good corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the team lead in planning and executing IT ICOFR testing efficiently and effectively throughout the year.
- Analyse risks associated with IT processes, assess the effectiveness of internal control systems, and update the Risk and Control matrix.
- Support the development of audit programmes for continuous monitoring and evaluation of IT ICFR.
- Conduct testing of information technology infrastructure, data controls, and assess audit trails of operational information systems.
- Coordinate with external auditors for the certification of company accounts and maintain a dashboard for control failures to ensure swift remediation.
- Implement data analysis tools to improve audit efficiency and risk assessment effectiveness.
- Evaluate controls on IT infrastructure, data protection, and information security effectiveness.
- First Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, MCSE, CISSP, CFE, or CITP are strictly required.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional IT audit work experience, preferably across manufacturing, energy, or utilities sectors.
- Demonstrable experience implementing Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and testing COBIT, GITC, and SAP Automated Controls.
- Thorough understanding of networking systems, computer databases, accounting principles, and internal control frameworks like COSO and COBIT.
