About the Role

Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive Home Economics lessons covering nutrition, food and nutrition, home management, and clothing and textiles in accordance with the Nigerian and international curricula.
- Design and implement practical laboratory sessions and hands-on projects to ensure students develop tangible domestic and entrepreneurial skills.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and constructive support to help learners achieve their highest potential.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment in both classrooms and specialist practical rooms.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school management in organizing extracurricular activities, school events, and departmental meetings.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development, academic performance, and behavioral progress.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), or Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Home Economics or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant teaching experience in a recognized primary or secondary school.
- Strong passion for teaching young learners and a deep understanding of modern pedagogical techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into lesson delivery and administration.
- Possession of a valid teaching certification (TRCN) will be an added advantage.
