About the Role
Ratio Consulting Limited is recruiting on behalf of Primegate International Academy, located in Lokogoma, Abuja, for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Secondary School. Reporting directly to the Head of School, you will provide visionary academic leadership and oversee all secondary school operations. Your mandate is to maintain exceptional standards of teaching and learning, foster a safe and disciplined environment, and drive outstanding student performance in both local and international examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic leadership and strategic direction for the secondary school, ensuring adherence to high educational standards.
- Oversee comprehensive curriculum planning, implementation, and adequate coverage across all subjects.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate teaching staff and Heads of Department through regular classroom observations and constructive feedback.
- Monitor student academic progress using assessment data and coordinate targeted academic interventions.
- Manage preparation for key examinations including WAEC, NECO, JAMB UTME, and IGCSE.
- Promote student discipline, welfare, and strict compliance with safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Maintain proactive communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance and development.
- Identify professional development needs and facilitate targeted training workshops for educators.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area; a Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in Education or Leadership is an advantage.
- Valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) registration is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a senior academic leadership role such as Vice Principal (Academics) or Head of Department.
- Demonstrated success in preparing students for major examinations like WAEC, NECO, JAMB, and IGCSE.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
