About the Role
Action Against Hunger | ACF Nigeria LTD/GTE, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger, is seeking a passionate and driven Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Officer to join our dynamic team in Nguru, Yobe State. In this vital role, you will work under the direct supervision of the FSL Program Manager to implement cash-based food assistance and sustainable livelihood activities, engaging closely with local communities, government stakeholders, and implementing partners to secure resilient futures for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands-on support in planning and implementing BHA Food Assistance, cash-based interventions, and livelihood activities across targeted communities.
- Facilitate beneficiary identification, community mobilization, registration, and regular post-distribution monitoring alongside the M&E unit.
- Coordinate vendor contracting, training, and transaction reconciliations to ensure transparent and efficient project execution.
- Manage field-based enumerators, support capacity building for local partners, and contribute comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity reports.
- Represent Action Against Hunger in internal and external coordination meetings with local authorities and humanitarian stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in implementing food security and livelihood projects within humanitarian contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising teams and managing cash and voucher programming.
- Excellent communication skills with professional fluency in English, alongside Hausa or Kanuri.
