About the Role
Hotel Capitol is a premier three-star hospitality destination located in the heart of Omole Phase 1, Lagos, offering luxury, comfort, and top-tier accommodation. We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Experienced Security Personnel to join our safety team. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our guests, staff, and property, ensuring a peaceful and secure environment that upholds our high standards of hospitality. If you have a sharp eye for detail, strong situational awareness, and a commitment to public safety, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Patrol hotel property regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and operate surveillance equipment or video cameras effectively.
- Write comprehensive reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.
- Operate metal detectors and other screening devices to prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
- Manage vehicle gate access and direct traffic within the premises safely.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide professional assistance to guests and employees.
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures for fire prevention, accident investigation, and access control.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, SSCE, or equivalent educational qualification.
- Proven work experience as a security guard, officer, or in a relevant hospitality security role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public safety and security procedures, protocols, and legal guidelines.
- Strong surveillance skills, high attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Uncompromising integrity, professionalism, and customer service orientation.
- Physical fitness to stand or walk for extended periods and perform routine patrols.
- Applicants residing within close proximity to Ogba, Agege, Ojota, Ketu, Ojodu Berger, Akute, and Ikeja axes will be strongly preferred due to location convenience.
