About the Role
KPEC Schools is a reputable, government-approved co-educational private learning institution located in Alapere, Ketu, Lagos State. Founded in September 2009, we are committed to nurturing independent thinkers through comprehensive nursery, primary, and secondary education using a robust blended learning approach that combines the British and Nigerian National Curricula. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified English Language Teacher to join our dedicated academic team at the Junior Secondary level.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality English Language lessons to Junior Secondary students in alignment with the school's academic standards
- Maintain effective classroom management and ensure student welfare, safety, and positive engagement throughout school hours
- Prepare students thoroughly for both internal assessments and relevant external examinations
- Design comprehensive lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
- Participate actively in school meetings, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities
- Possession of an NCE or a Bachelor's degree in English Language, Education, or a closely related field
- Current registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) will be a strong added advantage
- Prior classroom teaching experience within a recognized secondary school setting is highly preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inspire young learners
