About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Marine Engineer III to join our dynamic team in Bonny Island, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating engineering work, ensuring adherence to global standards, and maintaining the highest levels of operational safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and comment on internal and contractor engineering work to ensure compliance with company specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports for engineering, management, and sales personnel.
- Coordinate activities with regulatory bodies to ensure repairs and alterations are cost-effective and safe.
- Procure necessary materials for the repair of marine equipment and machinery.
- Act as a liaison between ship captains and shore personnel to maintain schedules, budgets, and safe operations.
- Check, test, and maintain automatic controls and alarm systems.
- Monitor activities to guarantee compliance with international regulations for life-saving equipment and pollution prevention.
- Schedule machine overhauls and service electrical, HVAC, water, and sewage systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering specialty.
- Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
- Strong ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English for technical and business contexts.
