About the Role
Craneburg Construction Company is seeking a diligent and skilled Construction Lab Technician to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in upholding our commitment to excellence by ensuring that all construction materials meet rigorous quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive tests on soil, concrete, aggregates, asphalt, and other essential construction materials.
- Perform accurate field tests, including soil compaction, slump tests, and regular concrete sampling.
- Collect, prepare, and rigorously test material samples in strict accordance with approved industry standards.
- Record test results meticulously, prepare detailed technical reports, and maintain organized laboratory records.
- Monitor material quality continuously and immediately report any non-conformities to the Quality Control Engineer.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain all laboratory testing equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
- Ensure full compliance with project specifications, environmental health, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate seamlessly with site engineers and the QA/QC team to resolve material quality issues promptly.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in Civil Engineering, Laboratory Technology, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in construction materials testing.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of soil, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt testing procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant ASTM, British Standards (BS), or other applicable construction testing codes.
- Strong ability to prepare clear technical reports and maintain precise documentation.
