About the Role
Vetsark is building an integrated agribusiness that empowers farmers, strengthens food supply chains, and makes affordable animal protein more accessible across Africa. We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations, strengthen financial controls, drive profitability, and support our next phase of growth in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, taxation, audits, and internal controls.
- Drive fundraising, capital structuring, investor relations, and treasury management.
- Manage working capital, financial risks, and credit portfolio oversight.
- Improve unit economics, cost efficiency, and business profitability.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business expansion and executive decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's in Finance or MBA is an added advantage.
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance experience, including senior leadership responsibilities.
- Strong experience in financial management, cash flow planning, financial modelling, and corporate governance.
- Proven track record of raising and managing debt facilities, grant fundraising, and investor relations.
- Prior experience in agribusiness, FMCG, manufacturing, financial services, or supply-chain sectors is an advantage.
- Exceptional commercial judgment, leadership capabilities, and unquestionable integrity.
