About the Role
Aldelia Limited is seeking a dedicated and commercially astute Buyer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the pre-ward preparation, negotiation, award, and administration of contracts for works, goods, and services. You will ensure the company's commercial interests are fully protected while driving cost savings and maintaining strict adherence to local content laws and HSEQ standards.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and control process-based activities for offshore service contracts, including pre-qualifications, tender list development, and issuing ITTs.
- Collaborate with technical counterparts and Global Category Managers to deploy supply chain strategies and ensure governance compliance.
- Drive cost savings through the 3C program while mitigating project risks and managing contractual disputes effectively.
- Ensure 100% compliance with company rules, SOX, and local regulations including NAPIMS approvals and Nigerian Content guidelines.
- Utilize supply chain tools such as SAP, E-Sourcing, and AGORA to maintain up-to-date contract portfolios and master procurement plans.
- Mentor junior contracts engineers, buyers, and administrators to foster continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Social Sciences, or a Supply Chain-related field.
- 3 to 6 years of proven procurement and buying experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Professional membership in relevant supply chain or operational bodies is an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suites and working knowledge of SAP.
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial, legal, and insurance issues impacting the energy sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
