About the Role
Iknorbert Communications Limited, a premier distributor of ITEL mobile phones and accessories across Africa, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Bus Driver to join our logistics team. Established in 2012, we pride ourselves on maintaining exceptional industry standards through our dedicated people and robust distribution models. In this role, you will play a vital part in our supply chain by ensuring our communication products reach their destinations securely and on schedule, supporting our mission to deliver excellence across the continent.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough pre- and post-route vehicle inspections to ensure optimal bus condition and road safety.
- Strictly adhere to Nigerian traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times.
- Assist loaders with the safe handling of goods, ensuring items are securely loaded and offloaded.
- Maintain constant and effective communication with dispatchers throughout your assigned shifts.
- Complete accurate paperwork and incident reports for any accidents, vehicle mechanical problems, or route delays.
- Keep the interior of the bus clean, organized, and well-maintained as needed.
- Address inquiries regarding transit schedules, routes, and designated delivery stops professionally.
- Valid and current Nigerian driver's license with the appropriate commercial driving endorsement.
- Proven professional driving experience, preferably within Lagos and surrounding regions.
- Deep knowledge of Lagos Island routes, traffic patterns, and major thoroughfares, particularly around CMS.
- Strong commitment to road safety, punctuality, and defensive driving techniques.
- Good communication skills and the ability to complete basic logistics paperwork accurately.
