About the Role
Bradfield Consulting is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Bored Pile Rig Operator to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this crucial role, you will operate bored piling rigs during deep foundation construction, ensuring that all drilling activities strictly meet required pile locations, depths, diameters, and alignment standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate bored piling rigs in accordance with manufacturer instructions and approved site safety procedures.
- Monitor drilling progress, ground conditions, rig stability, and overall equipment performance.
- Coordinate seamlessly with piling engineers, foremen, and surveyors to maintain accurate pile positioning.
- Conduct thorough pre-start inspections, routine equipment checks, and report mechanical faults promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with site HSE procedures, environmental regulations, and proper PPE usage.
- Maintain precise daily equipment operating logs, drilling records, and operational delay reports.
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience operating bored piling rigs or comparable heavy foundation equipment.
- Relevant vocational, technical, or trade qualifications and OEM operator certifications.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of drilling operations, temporary casing systems, and foundation construction.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, operational efficiency, and working on remote sites across Nigeria.
