About the Role
Cavista is looking for an innovative and driven Backend C#.NET Engineer II to join our dynamic team and help empower organizations with world-class technology solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performing backend services and APIs that power robust financial products, digital payments, and seamless customer experiences across global markets.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using C# and .NET technologies.
- Build and optimize high-performance APIs, microservices, and backend systems specifically tailored for fintech products.
- Develop reliable solutions for payment processing, transaction management, reconciliations, settlements, and financial reporting.
- Participate actively in architecture discussions and contribute to critical technical design decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, frontend, and QA to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices and design patterns.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior engineers to drive overall engineering excellence.
- Implement backend security controls supporting PCI-DSS compliance and ensure data collection workflows comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on fintech solutions.
- Expertise in C# and .NET core technologies for building scalable backend architectures.
- Proven track record in developing payment gateways, transaction processing engines, and secure APIs.
- Deep understanding of database management, system performance optimization, and cloud deployment pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot production issues and minimize system downtime.
