About the Role
Stockgap Fuels Limited, a leading distributor of refined petroleum products and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automation & Instrumentation Incharge. In this critical role, you will own and maintain the plant’s automated control systems, including PLC, SCADA, HMI, gas detection, and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems, ensuring safe and accurate cylinder filling and process control.
Key Responsibilities- Manage PLC, SCADA, and HMI control systems for the cylinder-filling carousel, check-weighers, and bulk storage instrumentation.
- Execute the comprehensive instrument calibration program for load cells, weighing scales, pressure transmitters, level gauges, and flow meters to strict NMDPRA and SON accuracy standards.
- Oversee control system backups, user security access, and drive automation improvement projects to enhance plant efficiency.
- Supervise Automation & Instrumentation Operators and lead root-cause analysis initiatives to minimize control system downtime.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a minimum of 2nd Class Upper or Upper Credit.
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of proven experience in industrial automation and instrumentation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Relevant certifications in PLC, SCADA, or DCS programming and configuration are strongly preferred.
