Owolabi University, a newly licensed private institution located in Osun State, Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and accomplished academic to join our vibrant community as an Associate Professor in Science Laboratory. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in June 2026, our university is dedicated to widening access to quality higher education and preparing graduates for a fast-changing global landscape. Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate Professor, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our academic standards and fostering a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Science Laboratory and related disciplines.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Successfully supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Provide visionary academic leadership and contribute to curriculum development within the Faculty of Science and Computing.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Mentor junior academic staff and foster collaborative partnerships within the scientific community.
Candidates must meet the following rigorous criteria to be considered for this prestigious academic position:
- Possess a PhD Degree from a reputable university in Science Laboratory or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrate clear evidence of strong academic leadership and institutional commitment.
- Have a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals within the relevant field of study.
- Provide verifiable evidence of successful supervision of postgraduate students at master's or doctoral levels.
- Possess a minimum of nine (9) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Show demonstrable administrative experience within a university setting.
