Amadeus University, Amizi, a newly established and NUC-licensed private tertiary institution in Abia State, is seeking a qualified and dynamic academic to join its College of Medicine. We are currently recruiting an Assistant Professor of Human Anatomy to shape the minds of future medical professionals within our Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical demonstrations in Human Anatomy for MBBS, BDS, and Allied Health Science students in compliance with NUC and MDCN standards.
- Develop comprehensive lecture notes, course materials, and laboratory manuals to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Set, invigilate, mark, and submit Continuous Assessments and examination scores within approved institutional timelines.
- Supervise laboratory sessions, enforcing strict safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and proper maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct high-impact research, participate in departmental seminars, and target peer-reviewed publications.
- Fulfill administrative duties such as serving as a course adviser, maintaining accurate student records, and participating in quality assurance and accreditation activities.
- Adhere strictly to university academic ethics, examination regulations, and relevant professional codes of conduct.
- A mandatory Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Human Anatomy or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of nine (9) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a university environment.
- A verifiable record of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals and academic books.
- Demonstrated capacity for academic leadership, curriculum development, and institutional growth.
- Active registration with relevant professional regulatory bodies in the discipline.
- Proven ability to initiate, develop, and supervise student research projects.
