Amadeus University, Amizi, a newly approved and NUC-licensed private institution dedicated to excellence and 21st-century education, is seeking a qualified and dynamic Assistant Professor in Biochemistry for our College of Medicine. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical demonstrations in Medical Biochemistry for undergraduate and allied health science students.
- Develop comprehensive lecture notes and laboratory manuals in compliance with NUC and MDCN standards.
- Set, administer, and evaluate continuous assessments, examinations, and professional board practicals.
- Supervise laboratory sessions, enforcing strict safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and good laboratory practices.
- Conduct impactful research, participate in departmental seminars, and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Perform administrative duties such as student advising, attendance tracking, and supporting institutional accreditation.
- Engage in continuous professional development and adhere strictly to university ethics and professional codes of conduct.
- A mandatory doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of nine (9) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a university environment.
- A verifiable, excellent track record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Demonstrated capability in academic leadership, research development, and curriculum quality assurance.
- Active registration with relevant professional regulatory bodies.
- Proven experience in supervising postgraduate students to completion will be an added advantage.
