About the Role
The Dangote Group is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Assistant General Manager, Mechanical (Hydraulics Specialist) to join our operations in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex hydraulic systems for FLS and IKN Coolers, Loesche VRM, and OK Mills, ensuring optimal plant efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and troubleshoot advanced hydraulic systems including stacker luffing cylinders, hydraulic hoses, directional control valves, and proportional valves.
- Conduct feasibility studies, diagnostic assessments, and engineering simulations to resolve hydraulic faults and improve reliability.
- Oversee the construction, installation, and inspection of heavy-duty hydraulic infrastructure for rawmills, kilns, coolers, and cement mills.
- Develop comprehensive engineering plans, hydraulic calculations, and ensure strict compliance with industry and safety standards.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and cross-functional engineering resources effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialized hydraulics training; Master's degree and P.E. license are preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in cement plant hydraulics operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in reading hydraulic circuits, notations, and symbols, alongside familiarity with AutoCAD and SAP modules.
