About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, providing reliable power to over 82 million customers across Africa and Asia. We are looking for a results-driven Area Phone Business Manager to expand our PayGo phone sales and manage our commission-based agent network across Kano. In this impactful role, you will translate our device financing strategy into on-the-ground sales success through robust agent recruitment, training, and disciplined field execution.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, onboard, and train new agents while motivating existing Sun King agents to sell PayGo phones.
- Drive monthly unit targets and increase average agent productivity through coaching, micro-incentives, and field activations.
- Maintain excellent portfolio quality by coaching on customer onboarding, managing FPD and PAR30, and minimizing repossessions.
- Execute structured weekly field routines, conduct ride-alongs, and implement agent retention strategies.
- Manage inventory accuracy with zero variance tolerance, conducting regular audits and timely reporting.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies with zero tolerance for unethical practices or misrepresentation.
- HND or BSc in a business-related field with at least 2 years of hands-on field sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience in PayGo, device financing, or managing agent networks.
- Deep local market knowledge of Kano and its urban and rural trade routes.
- Strong digital literacy with proficiency in CRM systems, Looker, and stock management tools.
- Exceptional relationship-building, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the designated area.
