About the Role
KAAF Specialist Hospital, a premier private healthcare provider located within the University of Lagos specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics, is seeking a smart, analytical, and qualified Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our hospital, ensuring accuracy in all financial reporting, and strengthening our relationships with healthcare partners.
Key Responsibilities- Posting standard journal entries and monitoring financial transactions accurately.
- Managing and reconciling Health Management Organization (HMO) claims and receivables.
- Reconciling payables and routine bank activities in a timely manner.
- Assisting with annual and departmental budget preparations.
- Participating actively in internal and external audits.
- Serving as the primary liaison between the hospital and HMO partners to guarantee prompt and accurate payments.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of proven professional experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Demonstrated experience in HMO claims management, reconciliation, and stakeholder liaison.
- In-depth knowledge of financial policies, regulations, and standard accounting processes.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and time-management abilities with strict attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of accounting software, preferably Sage ERP.
